ESC-060kJ-ERS ESC Series – epic power Supercapacitor Converter Epic Supercapacitor Converter 060kJ Energy Recovery System The ESC-60kJ-ERS includes the energy recovery firmware that configures a very simple plug-and-play solution for applications with many cycles of consumption and generation. Typically, industrial elevators, overhead crane and conveyors can widely benefit from the use of an energy recovery system. Connections and operation The unit is connected to the DC bus of the traction drive and automatically detects when there is generation and consumption to reduce the total energy bill of the installation. The energy is saved inside the supercapacitors and then re-used in the next consumption trip without coming back to the mains to make the machine more efficient.
