ESC Series – epic power Supercapacitor Converter
Epic Supercapacitor Converter 060kJ Electronic Counterweight
The ESC-60kJ-ECW includes the Electronic Counterweight firmware (ECW) that has been developed to reduce a continuous amount of power during any standard cycle. Based on the total energy stored in the supercapacitor module, the DC/DC converter can estimate the power reduction it can apply in the next consumption trip. The definition of this solution requires a minimal initial interaction with the epic power application team.
Operation
The ESC-60kJ-ECW product automatically charges the supercapacitors when there is no consumption and can receive a command to start working when a new trip is about to start.

Case study
A hybrid powered solution for cranes achieve reductions in fuel consumption, size of generator and braking resistor bank. Energy stored is used by a DC/DC converter to counterweight the power requirements and save the braking energy.
Case study
Electronic counterweight and peak shaving can be provided by a bidirectional DC/DC converter-based solution working with batteries and/or supercapacitors.
Case study
Bidirectional DC/DC converters applied to shuttles allow energy consumption from supercapacitors and charge from the grid with only one component. Electrified monorails become unnecessary in warehouses.
Case study
Reduction in size, cost and weight in battery powered industrial vehicles through DC/DC converters. DC motors are removed in favour of AC more standard and smaller solutions.
Case study
The use of less power from the grid or the reduction of the overall energy consumption can be achieved with battery and/or supercapacitor powered DC/DC converter-based solutions.
Case study
Combine a traditional fuel generator with a battery- powered system based on DC/DC to make a hybrid boat. Charge your batteries from the wind and move the boat freely without the need for it in the harbour.
Case study
Off-grid solar panel powered solution to feed hydrogen fuel cells through isolated DC/DC converters. Each converter provides MPPT per solar string to achieve highest efficiency.
Case study
Flexible solution for grid-connected hydrogen fuel cells through isolated DC/DC converters. High efficiency, robustness and easy parallelization for infinite combinations of power requirements.
